Book Club book for January!

The book for next month is near and dear to many hearts! It’s a great tale of a young girl’s life story. I’m halfway done, and I love it so far! Quick read, too!

Wondering About The Girl In the Rabbit Hole?

If you have ever wondered who Alice really was or where did this crazy story line come from, you are in luck! Join us for book club at Emily’s on Tuesday, July 26th around 6:30PM. Bring a salad topping (like veggies, fruits, chickpeas…) and Emily will provide salad greens and drinks. We’ll eat dinner and then discuss.

Book Club – This Week!

Tuesday, June 14th at 7:00. We will meet at Laura’s house and Athlea will host the discussion. We read As the Crow Flies by Jeffrey Archer. This is probably the longest book I have ever read. It was an excellent story that followed a single character for his entire life-time through a periods of peace and war and poverty and royalty.

March Book Club

I can’t wait to discuss our first true mystery! We will meet at Laura’s house for book club this month. This book is about Flavia de Luce an 11 year old quick-witted and fearless little sister that you will be excited to meet. (I promise you can blame this one on me if it’s not!)

Sarah’s Key in February

We will read Sarah’s Key at Julie’s house the last Tuesday of February.  Right now it’s a foreign film… but I included the trailer because it looks amazing.  Maybe we can get it through Netflix some time at the end of year.

In the New Year… We will keep reading!

In January, we will be reading “Though None Go with Me” by Jerry Jenkins.  I don’t know anything about the book… so I’m about to do some research.  I also know nothing about the time and day of the meeting.  I’ll research that, also!

The Help – Meeting November 16th

Well as you can see… it’s time to post about our upcoming book.  The joy of reading this book lasted only a few short days, because I read it so quickly!  So you know… it’s good!  We will see you at Trudy’s at 7:30 to discuss The Help.

Reminder!  Our book club will be headed to Williamsburg December 3-5.  Please come prepared to tell Trudy if you would like to attend.  This is a great time to get in some shopping and some relax time!

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is set after World War II and follows a London writer who becomes enthralled with the stories of Nazi occupation of the island of Guernsey, off the British coast.

We are planning to meet on the last Wednesday of June at 7 pm. Janice will be leading discussion and she might just make some Potato Peel Pie!
